Meet Dr. Anastasiia Neelagaru
Dr. Anastasiia Neelagaru is a board-certified Family Medicine physician specializing in the treatment of peri- and menopausal symptoms, osteopenia, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, and sexual dysfunction.
Originally from Ukraine, Dr. Neelagaru completed her postgraduate training at the Texas Tech University Family Medicine Residency program in Amarillo, TX. She then pursued a Geriatrics Fellowship at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Neelagaru furthered her education by obtaining additional training from the Menopause Society, becoming an officially certified menopause provider listed on their database. She also received specialized training from Dr. Heather Hirsch, a leading menopause expert, and had the honor of contributing to the panel of experts at the "Health by Heather Hirsch MD Collaborative" menopause practice.
Committed to evidence-based practices, Dr. Neelagaru adheres to the clinical guidelines established by reputable organizations in the fields of menopause and sexual medicine. She is an active member of ISSWSH (International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health), ISSM (The International Society for Sexual Medicine), and SMSNA (Sexual Medicine Society of North America).
Continuously seeking to enhance her expertise, Dr. Neelagaru regularly attends conferences, collaborates with renowned sexual medicine specialists, and works closely with sex therapists and pelvic floor therapists.
In her leisure time, Dr. Neelagaru enjoys hiking, cooking sweet treats for her family, traveling, exploring National Parks, and dancing.
